Food Democracy Now

I think I've talked about this in class...how there are ongoing conversations going on in the country on a full range of topics and ideas, and as educated people, you are invited to participate by offering a point of view that is supported by reasoning and evidence. It's necessary to read deeply and widely before just popping off with an opinion.

Here's a liberal organization, Food Democracy Now -- pro sustainable agricultural, pro organic -- that is lobbying against recent Obama appointments to the USDA. In their view, President Obama is caving in to big business, or BigAg -- the large factory farms -- by appointing these two guys to the USDA. I like this organization, but I'm not so sure about this. I have to read it more closely.
