Seniors, get more sleep

Sleep is a magical, restorative, mysterious process. Make your beds as fantastic as possible. Get the electronics OUT of your sleep space. Make your bed fragrant, clean, inviting...get all the books and papers and dirty laundry OFF your bed. Create a space that is purely restful, sensuous and comfortable, and get in there, snuggle down and shut your eyes. I promise you, the electronic world will be there when you wake up.

Get more sleep.

One of my former students stopped by to see me today, and he told me two hilarious stories about people falling asleep in class at CSULB. One guy actually fell off a bench in a lecture hall, and rolled down the aisle, landing roughly at the professor's feet. Nobody said a word. The guy just got up, brushed himself off, and left.

Next, he told me about HIMSELF. He fell asleep in math class. When he woke up, it was four hours later...his class was long over, and another class had started. A girl came in, sat down, and nudged him awake--he was disoriented, and so at first he thought it was still his class...but then he realized it was a different professor, and it was 6pm; his math class started at 1:00. But because the girl sitting next to him was cute, he stayed through that math class too, and got home at 8pm from his 1:oo class.
