Buried Onions

Finding himself looking for a better future Eddie, a Hispanic boy from Fresno, California. I find this book to be inspirational, Eddie faces all sorts of disappointment and obstacles, he faces lack of opportunity, the death of family members and violence and prejudice of his city. Against the odds Eddie is determined to find a way out, he wants to live the American dream. The only outlet he finds to his better dream is the army. I would recommend this book to struggling teens who feel like giving up. This book allows us to push the limits and to know that we can decide our future.
