I believe that you should “Do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you’ll be criticized anyway. You’ll be damned if you do and damned if you don’t.” as Eleanor Roosevelt once said. I believe that it’s about working hard for what you want and knowing when to stand up for what you deserve. It is not about demoralizing other people; it’s about self-empowerment. It’s not about being superior or arrogant; it’s about displaying your confidence and intellect as a badge of pride. It’s not asserting any inherent superiority or self-entitlement, but recognizing your own self-worth and value. I speak my mind and it gets me into a lot of trouble. But I think this is because people dislike how opinionated I am and honestly, I learned not to care about their judgments.
I believe that we are all authentic creatures of the world because you can’t be anyone but yourself. I believe that everyone has the right to be themselves and do whatever they want without the fear of being looked down upon by society. I believe that people harm their self-integrity by holding grudges and judging others based on other peoples assumptions. I believe that we all have potential yet it is not seen because we fear. And because we fear, we cannot live happily. Because we feel ashamed of who we are, we cannot live life to the fullest. I believe in forgiveness even though it is hard for me to forgive others.
I believe that by being kind and generous to those who are myopic, you will find enlightenment. I believe that you should respect everyone you meet, but you don’t have to like them. I believe that by having emotions such as anger, jealousy, joy, and sadness it shows that we are human. But, there are times where if you push away your anger, jealousy and animosity towards someone, you can build your character and become a better person.
I believe that as you mature, personal responsibility is an important factor. You have to learn to take responsibilities for your actions, your needs, your wants, your mistakes. You cannot blame others for what you have done. You cannot hurt those who have hurt you. You cannot use excuses for your mistakes. And by doing so, you will gain respect and find peace.
I believe that “Confidence begins on the inside where you keep it, not on the outside where others can easily give or take it” as Firstlady says. I don’t feel that I have to go out of my way to attract attention. To have confidence, you must respect yourself. You must realize that your confidence comes from your soul, your mind, your body, and your heart. Your outer beauty comes from within and that is where your confidence starts. I believe that there are two things a woman should always have: confidence and self respect.
I believe that we don’t appreciate the time we have on Earth and that we learn to, as we grow older. I feel that experience constructs our values and judgment and life is an opportunity, which we should benefit from. I feel that life is a wonder in which we should admire. I feel that life is a challenge in which we should overcome.
I believe parents try their hardest to make us strive for the best. I believe that all parents show their love in different ways. Some don’t show their love at all, believing that it is a sign of weakness. Some do, by smothering us to bits. Some give their children space and shower their love in many other ways. I believe that your families are those you can really count on in the end of the day. I believe that all parents care about their children and sometimes we don’t appreciate them. I believe sometimes we take them for granted and we don’t see that some children don’t have parents. And when we decide to appreciate them, it is already too late.
I believe all females are strong. I believe that all men and women should be equal. I believe that a man should always respect a woman in any circumstances.
I believe that everyone has a significant other in his or her life that can change their lives. My significant other holds so much importance and value in my life. I believe that in life, you’ll meet people who will influence you to be the best you can be. Because of him, I’ve spent a lot more time with my family. Because of him, I understand the world a little bit better. Because of him, I am becoming a better person.
I believe that as a senior, this is the year that we find our true friends. I believe that we don’t need all the friends we have gotten to know to be in our lives forever. A true friend will always be there for you, whether they are five hundred mile away from you or ten. A true friend will stay without you asking.
I believe in faith, happiness, love and peace.
