I turn to music every time I’m dealing with my emotions, because there’s always a song that relates perfectly to whatever I’m going through. That’s another thing that’s so amazing about music -- there’s a song for every kind of person and for any situation.
It’s incredible to see the power of music at a concert. Whether it's at a small venue or a huge amphitheater, there’s something so amazing about the feeling you get at a show, surrounded by hundreds, even thousands, of people who are all as passionate about that particular style of music as you are. For example, I recently went to a U2 concert, and there was a total of 100,000 people there. It was unbelievable to hear 100,000 people singing together in perfect harmony, knowing that there was nowhere else in the world they’d rather be at that moment. We met people from Canada, France, and Brazil, people who came from all over the world, simply to be submersed into the art of music. Music breaks down barriers; it gives people who would otherwise have nothing in common a mutual ground. To me, music is one of the biggest forces in the world. I believe in music.
