i believe in whaaaaa?

This I Believe

Can a human being obtain anything he can imagine or even dream of? Well that would be awesome but it really depends on how realistic someone’s dreams are. For instance if there is a 80 year old five foot tall male that weighs no more than the meal you had last night and wants to be the world’s strongest man, well that’s just not going to happen. Or how about a more realistically unrealistic story like, a person that dreams of being the fastest man in the history of Planet Earth but when it comes to trying an outdoor activity they can’t even take 10 steps before needing a breather because they almost go into a cardiac arrest. Or they just can’t seem to be able to put one foot in front of the other successfully. For those who do seem to have their toe in a door that appears to behold an infinite amount of stairs behind it leading straight to your wildest dreams, well, good news: I believe there is an opportunity for you.
If you have been given the gift to solve mathematical equations well you can become the world’s most renowned aerospace engineer if you want. It does seem like holding onto childhood dreams and goals is very immature but it’s not. That’s the moment when you decide if you want to face it and show the world what you’ve got or be like almost everybody else and throw it away. The only problem is that it would probably be the most difficult thing you will ever try to overcome, if it wasn’t than nobody would have pride in what they accomplish. I have many dreams and goals I would love to conquer. The one that I have decided to face that shows a slight chance of happening, is taking CIF for pole-vaulting.
Yes, pole vaulting. Not a very popular sport but one that God has given me a gift to excel at. I have been decent at every sport I have played but this one shows more opportunity for me, enough that I have dreamed about taking CIF. There are other goals that lead up to this huge trek like beating our school record and taking league. I am fortunate enough to be the number 1 pole-vaulter at Mayfair, but that’s like being compared to a big fish in a little pond, same goes for most of our league.
I believe that if I work hard enough, have enough discipline, and ask God for more help, I can make my dreams a reality. As it does for anyone who has that desire to achieve goals they found in their dreams. People will criticize you along the way when trying these outrageous acts but that should make you want to complete it even more so you can rub it in their faces, or even better just be humble about it.
