I Believe in The Simple Pleasures of Life

I believe in the simple pleasures of life. I believe in being so happy that you burst into tears, walking on the beach watching the sun set. I believe in being able to watch the sun rise. I believe in the miracle of giving birth, realizing that there’s someone in world that you can love more than yourself. I believe in dancing until your legs hurt. I believe in laughing until everything hurts. I believe in stopping to smell the roses, even though they don’t smell all that fantastic. I believe in first kisses. I believe in the butterflies that come when you get that call from that special someone. I believe in first jobs and first paychecks. I believe in getting your drivers license. I believe in getting your first apartment but because you’re just starting out your kitchen table is a card table and your TV stand is a moving box. I believe in being just fine with that and seeing that card table as a dinning table and that box as an entertainment center. I believe in family nights and board games. I believe in family reunions and road trips. I believe in swimming all day on summer vacation. I believe in visits from the tooth fairy. I believe in Santa Claus and tales of the North Pole. I believe in your first time hangin’ with the big kids. I believe in riding bikes until the streetlights came on and getting up early the next day to catch Saturday morning cartoons. I believe in ice cream sundaes with a cherry on top. I believe in the joy of a finished project. I believe in that feeling of contentment when you look around and realize things aren’t so bad. I believe in the simplest of things making the biggest impact. The simple pleasures of life.
