I fallowed the crowed and read Hunger Games, I’m glad I decided to be a follower for once. I couldn’t stop reading this ridiculously well written book. It was the first time I had ever wanted to read a book at my house for pure enjoyment. I’m usually getting punished when I do that. Not only could I not put it down but I decided to skip my ROP class one day to finish it. The book is just overall completely different to any other book I have picked up and decided to read. It’s so descriptive that it just flows from the pages like a movie as you read it. It’s just nonstop with action and twists. I was so impressed with this book that I had to buy its sequel Catching Fire. I’m almost done with that and it too is superb. It’s such a great experience when you can read a book and it’s like exploring a new world. That’s exactly what Hunger games did for me. there was so much suspense in this book that when I wanted to take a break from it, I had to stop in the middle of the chapter because the chapters would always end with such a big bang that you had to keep going. Every character in this book is different and you develop a relationship with each one of them. Even the ones that only last for a page.
I recommend this extravaganza to anyone who can read. It has inspired me to read books at my house now. For those who aren’t convinced that this book is any good you should know that I picked up the first harry potter book and set it down within a weak because it wasn’t action packed enough to keep me entertained. I need nonstop suspenseful, action packed, well written, well descriptive, and an amazing story to keep me reading. This book met my picky demands and I’m sure it will meet yours. Give it a shot.

Well written Mr. Stewart! I too enjoy digging into a book where I find myself imagining the characters and the setting. I'm glad that this book inspired you to read at home, but wasn't one of the ongoing homework assignments for this class to read 40 minutes a day outside of school? Based on the honor system? I'm sure you were fully aware of this and were only kidding when you said you usually read books at home only when you're being punished.
