The Lovely Bones

For SSR this semester i read some pretty good books, but my favorite one was a book called The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. I'm sure many of you have heard of it especially since there is a movie coming out for it this Friday! Yay! (Which I'm going to watch) The book is about 14 year old Susie Salmon who gets murdered by her neighbor (who is a creeper) and the whole time during the book the dad is trying to let Susie be at peace by finding all the evidence to link this man to it. It goes through the tough time the whole family and neighborhood has getting over her death. Susie narrates the whole book and she also talks about how she is stuck in the between life because she is not ready to completely leave Earth yet. She meets some people on heaven, even another girl that her neighbor has murdered and they share stories. Honestly though i think I'm horrible when it comes to summarizing books but i do highly recommend this book. So i hope some of you decide to go get it:) read it.....i promise it's worth your time.

I really enjoy SSR on Mondays so i hope we get to keep doing this for the rest of the school year.
Thanks Fletcher! :)
