To tell you the truth, every single book I have read this semester has been written by the wonderful author, Nicholas Sparks. Ms. Fletcher had told my class many times to expand their vocabulary and try reading different kinds of books you're not used to, but the only types of books I find interesting are romance novels. I can't help it if Nicholas Sparks writes some of the most romantic novels I have ever read. I fell in love with the way he wrote as soon as I opened the heartfelt book, Dear John. This book was probably the most romantic novel I have ever read. I truly do go weak for romantic novels and this book definitely had me weak in the knees. As soon as I received the book, I couldn't put it down leading me to finishing it in two days. The book opens up with rebellious John who dropped out of school and enlisted in the army. While on leave, he meets the girl of his dreams, Savannah. They fall madly in love and Savannah finds herself waiting for John to finish his duty. Then September 11th, 2001 happens and John finds himself re-enlisting to fulfill his duty. They stay together, but time passes and things happen. The ending of this book left me with tears in my eyes and me wanting the book to go on forever. Anyone looking for a book to make them smile and cry; this book is definitely for you. Any romantics out there will find themselves reading this book over and over again. In just a few short weeks, Dear John will be coming out in theaters. I really do look forward to seeing the movie the day it comes out, however I doubt the movie will be as top notch as the book was. Dear John was a marvelous novel and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a novel that will have you falling in love. This book happened to make me fall in love with my boyfriend even more than I already do <3 After reading this book, I found myself appreciating the true meaning of LOVE.
